Born and bred in Presteigne, Wales, Robert Taylor has been a resident of Llandrindod Wells for eleven years. As well as being a family man, building has been Robert's whole life, and he has run his own successful building and joinery business for twenty one years, now employing seven skilled tradesmen.

No building job is too small for his firm, from repairing roofs to replacing them. Building extensions or internal alterations to give you more space, converting barns or listed buildings, fitting kitchens or even purpose making them to your own design, creating fitted wardrobes to building patios. Although based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Robert's work has taken him nationwide. A recent project was in the Cotswolds, and involved extending a picturesque village store, faced with stone and with tiled roof, to match the original house.

		Over the years he has gained great experience in all aspects of the construction industry, working on many listed buildings, churches and barn conversions, as well as modern buildings. Being specialists in the conservation of old properties, he appreciates the importance of retaining original materials and matching them up. Robert has worked alongside many architects who specialise in this field. Planning departments, CADW and even the National Trust have inspected his work.

Robert has his own fully equipped joinery workshop, which has always been one of his ambitions. In the workshop he runs a specialist moulding service, where he can mould in any timber to an original or new design of your choice. In addition, the workshop can produce any of your joinery requirements including staircases, windows, doors, and anything else from a dog kennel to a conservatory. A fitting service is also available. National and overseas orders of both joinery and mouldings are welcomed.
